I give talks and lectures on Russian art and history to a wide range of audiences.
Recent examples include a talk on revolutionary graphic art from Nicholas II to Joseph Stalin at a Russian-themed supper club in a Soho-based private members’ club, a lecture to a weekend gathering of royal history enthusiasts, and a study workshop on the Bolshevik Revolution for a group of schoolchildren.
I can offer specially-tailored illustrated talks on all aspects of Russian revolutionary and early Soviet design and propaganda, and can also bring along examples of original works.
Possible subjects range from revolutionary imagery under the Tsars, to falsified photographs in Stalin’s Russia – after all, fake news has been around for many years.
